Friday, June 2, 2023

The electrification of construction machines is an important step in reaching climate goals. Investing in these can be costly but what opportunities do they bring, how can they affect traditional ways of operation and can the transition become financially sustainable? Hear more about this in Gothenburg University's podcast about electrification, where ElectriCity's Lars Bern participates, among others. (The podcast is in Swedish)

In the Swedish Community for Sustainable Finance's podcast episode "Electrification of electric construction machines", opportunities and challenges with the electrification of construction machines are discussed. In the podcast, which is led by Dr. Ylva Baeckström at the Gothenburg School of Economics, they deep-dive into the financing and implementation of these machines.

Contributing and talking with Dr Baeckström are Lars Bern from ElectriCity/Lindholmen Science Park, Anders Dison from Alelion, Hanna Wessman from Almi and Åsa Larsson from the Export Credit Board. In addition, the listeners get to hear about a use case where Anders Schwarzkopf from Anders Marktjänst talks about lessons learned from investing in an electrified excavator.
